About the Role
Are you a seasoned expert with a passion for driving impactful projects? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a highly qualified team working on a landmark project in within Kenya’s transport infrastructure sector.
As part of this consultancy, you will:
- Conduct baseline studies to establish existing engineering skills in the sector.
- Identify and analyze emerging areas of specialization required to meet national priorities.
- Develop a comprehensive Transport Sector Skills Strategy.
- Propose a framework to enhance the effectiveness of skills and technology transfer.
Transport Economist
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognized University.
- Master’s Degree in Transport Economics or a related field.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer by the Engineers Board of Kenya.
- Work Experience:
- At least 12 years in economic and financial evaluation of transport infrastructure projects, demand estimation, and transport policy analysis.
- Expertise in transport demand analysis, econometric modelling, and economic evaluation.
- Experience with computer-based transport investment planning and maintenance management models, preferably in developing countries.
