About the Role

Are you a seasoned expert with a passion for driving impactful projects? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a highly qualified team working on a landmark project in within Kenya’s transport infrastructure sector.

As part of this consultancy, you will:

  • Conduct baseline studies to establish existing engineering skills in the sector.
  • Identify and analyze emerging areas of specialization required to meet national priorities.
  • Develop a comprehensive Transport Sector Skills Strategy.
  • Propose a framework to enhance the effectiveness of skills and technology transfer.

Transport Economist and Planner

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Economics, or a closely related field.
    • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Transport Economics, Transport Planning, or equivalent from a recognized University.
    • Must be a Registered Member of a Professional body, such as the Engineers Board of Kenya.
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 15 years in management and implementation of transportation infrastructure programs.
    • Experience working with government partners and stakeholders in public sector development.
    • Proven leadership in strategy, policy formulation, and forecasting.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-specialists.
    • Strong knowledge of Kenya’s development agenda, policies, and programs.
