AfriTrade Consulting Group played a pivotal role in supporting the Ministry of Investments, Trade, and Industry in formulating Kenya’s National Cotton, Textiles, and Apparel (CTA) Policy and Strategy, a cornerstone initiative to revitalize this critical sector as part of the country’s broader industrialization agenda.
Through rigorous value-chain analysis and competitiveness diagnostics, ACG provided evidence-based insights that informed the policy’s strategic direction, ensuring alignment with Kenya’s Vision 2030 goals, regional trade obligations under frameworks such as the AfCFTA and EAC, and emerging global market trends in sustainable and ethical apparel production.
The assignment underscored our proficiency in delivering tailored industrial policy solutions that promote export- led growth, job creation, and inclusive economic development. The engagement involved extensive multi- stakeholder coordination, including consultations with county governments, farmers’ cooperatives, industry associations, and private-sector actors across the CTA ecosystem.
We facilitated a consultative, data-driven process that culminated in a comprehensively validated policy and strategy document.
